Best Christmas Vacation/Resilience
This year's Christmas is so much better than last year. I say that because Christmas gets better every year than the last in some shape or form. My two main wishes were: 1. to have the best christmas ever with my family and friends plus praying that everybody else has the best Christmas ever too. And 2. a 7-string Ibanez guitar because I have so far two song ideas that requires a 7-string guitar. And I got both my wishes. I was soo pumped that I got my guitar. Once I plugged the guitar in my Line-6 15-watt amp, I shredded away. I also got a multi-tool pocket knife from a family friend. I thought it was cool because it was time for me to have them. I also got some nice clothes too. I also got money from my grandparents. I feel very grateful and blessed to have gifts given and also giving gifts to my family and friends all in Jesus' birthday. Another reason why I think this year's Christmas is better is because I felt like I celebrated Christmas better, meaning that I mainly focused on celebrating Jesus' birth, in which it made the holiday get a more powerful magnitude.
I have to say that one of my favorite As I Lay Dying songs is Resilience off of Awakened. I love the way it was orchestrated and the meaning of the song. Its about Tim Lambesis' kids. I can understand why it would be about his kids. There is a passage in Matthew 25:31-46 where Jesus talks to a scribe about the poor and the hungry. Jesus said to the scribe, " 'for I was hungry you fed me, when I was thirsty you gave me something to drink, when I was a stranger you took me in, when i was naked you clothed me, when i was sick you visited me, when i was in prison you comforted me.' Then the righteous will say 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed, or thirsty and gave you drink, when did we see you as a stranger and we let you in, when did we see you sick and we visited you?' And the King shall answer and say 'Verily I say to you, in as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me." And I think Tim is living with the gospels. I don't know if its true, but I have a feeling that Tim would see Jesus through his adopted children. I applaud Tim for doing it and also having the courage to take responsibility of children who used to live in poverty. And now the kids get to live in a very nice home with a future and great food. God Bless my family, friends, As I Lay Dying, other bands I love which its a long and huge list that could take days to name them all, and I wished everybody and you a Happy New Year and may God Bless everyone in 2013.
